Life History
A little about myself. I am originally from New Jersey and worked for high level executives in New York City for many years. I then met my husband on a blind date, married and started a family while attending New York University and earned a B.A. in History. I raised two children in Manhattan, managed a large household, assisted in my husband's business and chaired school benefits. I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout the United States and the world with my family. Furthermore, I have gone through about 22 years of cognitive therapy which has given me insight, wisdom and empathy to cope with many life situations. Like many of us, my marriage ended after many years and now I have dedicated the remainder of my journey to help others find healing, self-love, forgiveness and peace. I have recently added a blog to my website about my life and journey. To summarize, I was a simple girl from New Jersey, whom some say was a dreamer, and married into a wealthy, sophisticated and well-educated Dutch family. I lived a life that others could only dream about and was actually a "Real Housewife of New York" with a townhouse, a household staff, a country house, private schools and traveled the world in first class. My husband's family was la noblesse oblige (noble status) and believed in the responsibility that the wealthy was obligated in the betterment of society. My father-in-law was an extraordinary man from the northern province of Grogingen in The Netherlands, and his family was wealthy with a family crest. Unfortunately, WWI destroyed his family wealth, but he was determined to regain his family's fortune and prominence; however, WWII begun and that put his dreams and ambitions on hold, and he joined the Dutch resistance as a teenager. After the war ended, his resolve was even stronger to reclaim what was stolen from his family and he worked diligently to become a Notaris, a type of lawyer used in The Netherland to produce all types of legal documents. He then married his teenage sweetheart, had two children and moved to the island of Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles. On Curacao, he started his business, became a premier lawyer, and one of the wealthiest people on the island, and his family was revered as a prominent family of status and wealth. I married his son, the prince of Curacao, wealthy, sophisciated and attractive, and it changed my life forever, but if you want to know more, you will have to keep reading my blog to follow my journey and the adventures God and spirit has led me on.
